Our Beginnings

Manuel Jack founded Universal Induction in 1995. He is originally from Venezuela and moved to the United States to go to school, studying metallurgical engineering at Western Michigan University. In his senior year, Manuel was recruited for a position at a manufacturing firm. As his expertise grew, he was given additional responsibilities and leadership roles. He saw an opportunity in the market to launch his own business focused on induction heat treating, and Universal Induction was born.

Induction heat treating is a specialized process that requires great attention to detail and is not something every business can do well and takes time to develop. The team at Universal Induction have perfected the art and science of induction heat treating.

Manuel enjoys the challenge of being able to provide this service to the industry while training and mentoring others in delivering high-quality induction heat treating.

Manuel attributes his success to his positive attitude and perseverance. His motto is, “Never give up.”
